Brand Update & Website Design

This project was undertaken in collaboration with Get You Known.

This project involved a brand refresh, website design, and collateral for Anthony Mason Chambers (AMC), one of Adelaide's most established barristers' chambers, home to members practising across commercial, civil and appellate law.

The chambers have a considerable history. It was founded in 1993 and took its current name in 2006 when the Honourable Sir Anthony Mason AC KBE KC, former Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia, gave his personal consent for its use. Former members have gone on to the Federal Court, the District Court, and the office of Attorney-General.

The former website gave instructing solicitors little sense of the calibre of counsel available to them. Our challenge was to modernise the identity while retaining formality.

The result is a strengthened brand and website that match the standing of the chambers behind them.

The refreshed identity is understated. The logotype and monogram are clean and classic, working well embossed on stationery or scaled down for screen.

The typographic hierarchy does most of the work, and the palette stays deliberately narrow so the chambers' heritage building and the barristers themselves carry the visual interest.

Key collateral developed included letterhead, social templates, presentation templates, and Zoom/Teams backgrounds, each designed to hold the same standard across every touchpoint.

Website

The website is built around one main user journey: a solicitor seeking the right counsel.

The barrister directory sits at the centre of the site, with individual profiles following a consistent template that covers areas of practice, admissions, appointments, and professional background.

This lets a visitor compare expertise across the list and move quickly to the relevant member. Enquiries are routed through the clerk, which is how instruction works at the Bar.

We kept the top-level navigation to four destinations and used generous clear space to keep the content uncluttered and easy to navigate.
