The Trip

Event Concept & Branding

We are deeply passionate about the preservation of both our vibrant live music industry and the natural beauty of our country. It felt only natural to merge our love for music and Country into what is now known as 'The Trip'. While initially daunting due to its scale, we were fueled by the idea of creating an event that encapsulates the effervescence of music festivals while simultaneously championing a movement that supports small artists, local businesses, land conservation, and honours First Nations peoples.

As designers, we firmly believe that it is our responsibility to create avenues for people to connect with and comprehend social and cultural movements and engage in activism. Through The Trip, our aim was to inspire transformative change within younger generations by crafting a narrative and forging connections to the land through the exhilaration and vivacity of live music.

Mission Statement

Experience The Trip: an extraordinary Australian music adventure dedicated to unforgettable moments. Our festival celebrates travel and adventure and supports local artists and businesses. We showcase our stunning landscape and honour its traditional owners. With fun as our compass, we strive to sustain and nurture our home. Join us for an unforgettable experience!

The Target Audience

The Trip's target audience encompasses individuals over the age of 18, with a specific focus on those between the ages of 18-30. As the festival includes the sale of alcoholic beverages, we cater to this age group. In our marketing efforts, we will primarily engage nomadic, liberal, and free-spirited everyday Australians who share our deep passion for music, art, environmental stewardship, and respect for the traditional custodians of the land.

The Map

The Trip beckons adventure-seekers to gather their friends and hit the road. It is a thrilling six-stop festival that embarks on a journey up the east coast of Australia, spanning four states over six weeks.

Teaming up with a well-known camper van company, The Trip will offer discounted transportation options for road trip pass holders, enabling them to follow us throughout all six stops. Alternatively, patrons can opt for a day pass, allowing them to join in the fun for one or more stops as they please.

Each festival day, running from 12:00 pm to 12:00 am, promises an immersive experience at every stop. Road trip pass holders can enjoy the convenience of onsite camping, ensuring they make the most of their journey. For the intervals between stops, patrons are granted six days to leisurely make their way to the next destination.

To enhance the exploration of Australia's breathtaking landscape, The Trip provides an interactive app that offers guidance and recommendations for discounted campsites along the route, ensuring ample opportunities to discover the wonders of the land.

The Tickets

Tickets for The Trip can be conveniently purchased through our website. Patrons have the flexibility to choose between two ticket options: the 'Road Trip' pass for access to all six stops or an individual 'Day Pass' for specific stops.

Road Trip Pass:

With the purchase of a Road Trip pass, you will receive a recycled plastic, colour-coded wristband serving as your access pass. This wristband grants entry to the festival grounds and provides access to the festival campgrounds.

Additionally, upon purchasing the Road Trip pass, you will receive a personalised link to The Trip app. This digital companion includes your digital festival ticket, exclusive discounts at top-notch caravan parks across Australia, and The Trip Map, highlighting must-see landmarks along the six-week adventure. Prepare for an unforgettable journey filled with cherished memories!

Day Pass:

The Day Pass option is tailored to locals residing in the towns where our stops occur. This pass also comes with a recycled plastic, colour-coded wristband, granting access to the festival activities during the specific stop. Join us for a day of celebration and immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of The Trip.

The Transport

As our festival-goers embark on their road trip adventure, we also hit the road with our entire three-stage festival setup. We proudly transport our stages across the country, ensuring an exceptional experience at each of the six stops. What makes our stages unique is that they are ingeniously constructed from the very trucks that transport them. This innovative design allows for seamless pack-down and setup, ensuring efficient logistics without compromising on the quality of our stages. Get ready to witness the transformation as our trucks become stages, creating a memorable and immersive festival experience at every stop.
